A week in the life of a Cake Shed Owner

The sun was shining last weekend and my "Brand New" Cake Shed was fully stocked with cakes from Friday to Sunday. I thought you might like to share my journey with my new venture for Charlotte Jane Cakes "A week in the life of a Cake Shed owner".

I baked 6 different items to stock the cake shed this week and these were... NYC Red Velvet Cookies, NYC Biscoff Cookies, Cupcakes, Chocolate Brownies, Lemon Drizzle Loaf Cake and Coffee & Walnut Cake.

By Saturday evening I had completely sold out of Lemon Drizzle Loaf Cake and also the NYC Biscoff Cookies. I quickly baked some Banana & Vanilla Bread so there was still plenty of choice on Sunday

People kept coming all weekend to check out the cake shed. Many opened the doors of my little shed and said WOW! Saturday was the busiest day. I left the cake shed full of cake early afternoon when I had to pop out. I got back 3 hours later to find only 3 pieces of cake left. I quickly restocked ready for the next customers. NYC Biscoff Cookies and my Lemon Drizzle Loaf Cake unbelievably completely sold out. Note to self, make more of them for next weekend!

So that is a roundup of my first weekend of running a Cake Shed. I'm currently working on being able to take card payments when I'm not there or you can continue leaving cash in my little pink tin just inside the Cake Shed.
